How to Become a Christian

The Bible is very clear that to have a relationship with God it is necessary to become a Christian. It is not only understanding that there is a God, but it is actually encountering and interacting with God through His son Jesus Christ.

A Christian is one who believes in Jesus Christ: who He is, what He did and will do. Jesus is the only person to ever choose to be born on earth, and chose to die for all mankind, through the work on the cross. His main purpose for coming was to die for us. The Bible also states that sin leads to death, but eternal life is a gift from God through Jesus Christ (Romans 6:23).

Would you like to receive this free gift today by becoming a Christian?

You need to start by asking God to forgive you for your sins or things you have done wrong and turn from them. The Bible describes this as repentance.

You must also believe that Jesus died for you on the cross and thank Him for dying for you.

You must then ask Him to come and live within you by His Spirit.

If you would like to become a Christian and start your new spiritual relationship with God, here is a prayer you can pray to begin your relationship:

Lord Jesus Christ, I need You in my life. I believe You are the Son of God and that You died on the cross for me.

Please forgive me for my sins, I now turn from everything that I know is wrong. Thank You that You died on the cross for me so that I could be forgiven.

Please come into my life by Your Holy Spirit, to be with me forever.

Thank you, Lord Jesus. Amen.

If you have prayed this prayer, please contact us and let us know so that we can encourage you and help you with your new relationship with God.
